Shelby and Steve met on Tinder in October 2016. They were messaging each other for about 3-4 weeks before meeting up for a date in New Brighton to play a few rounds of crazy golf followed by a meal at Prezzo. 

 

They got engaged on 25th September 2020, exactly 2 years before their wedding day! They decided that they were going to re-live their first date, so went for a game of crazy golf and a meal at Prezzo in New Brighton again. At this point, Shelby was pregnant with their son Isaac and had trouble bending down to retrieve her golf ball from the hole, so Steve gallantly retrieved it for her. Half way round the course, while being down on one knee retrieving Shelby's golf ball, he didn't get back up straight away.... instead he held out an engagement ring in front of her with a huge smile on his face! And the rest is history!

Shelby tells me that she loves how funny and caring Steve is. She said that he's almost the male version of her, as they are both so laid back and get each other's sense of humour. He's the most gentle and friendly person ever!

Steve loves how caring Shelby is to anyone and everyone. She has such an infectious personality and it's impossible not to enjoy her company, and he's yet to find anyone who disagrees! Like him, she's very family orientated and he loves watching her and their son Isaac play together. Steve says he's at his happiest when he's with Shelby and Isaac. Their little family is about to get a bit bigger too, as Shelby is due to give birth to their second child in December 2022, 2 years after Isaac was born!

Their wedding venue was The Village Hotel in Bromborough. Shelby actually works there, selling wedding packages to their couples. At least she can personally profess to how amazing they are at putting on a wedding as everything ran perfectly on the day for them! Our day started with Shelby and the girls getting ready. Everyone was super chilled out, with Sienna, the flower girl getting lots of practice throwing the rose petals.... all over her mum who was one of the bridesmaids! Steve and his best man arrived at the venue soon after with Isaac, who was looking extremely smart in his little suit. Before long, Shelby's Uncle Paul was outside the room ready to escort Shelby down to the ceremony room where Steve and all their guests were waiting. Rings and vows were exchanged and they had their first kiss as a married couple!

The Village Hotel is just down the road from Port Sunlight, so it would only be right that we went down to The Dell for photos, before heading back to the venue to continue the wedding celebrations!

It was a perfect day for this amazing couple, and it was a pleasure to capture their memories!
