Some love stories start with a grand plan. Kayleigh and Declan's started with Declan working away from home, a spare room at Kayleigh's mum's place, and a chance encounter in the kitchen one evening. Kayleigh just happened to be there helping her mum. They got talking, found out they had loads in common, and the rest, as they say, is history. Best friends first, everything else second.

The proposal? Just as unplanned and just as perfect. A jungle hotel in Thailand, a late night ice cream run on mopeds, and a 30 minute wait for a tuk tuk that never came. That unplanned walk up to the lit up gardens changed everything. And just as Declan got down on one knee, a tuk tuk pulled up. Of course it did. 😂

 

Fast forward to June 2026, and these two got married at St Werburgh's Church in Birkenhead before heading to Ness Gardens on the Wirral for their wedding reception. The Rock Garden gave us everything for the wedding portraits, and when the rain arrived halfway through? Coats off, smiles on, not a single complaint. Honestly, that says it all about them.

The evening brought the Mr and Mrs game, a photodash, and the greatest dance off competition I have ever had the pleasure of capturing at a wedding. No notes. No notes at all.
