Old Palace Wedding
Charlotte and Luke

Charlotte and Luke's story started when she first messaged him on match.com in December 2014. They seemed completely opposite, yet his message back sparked daily conversations for years. She shared her cerebral palsy early on, but Luke wasn't fazed by it. They finally met in February 2018, beginning seven happy years together.

A year later, while in Chester, they joked that she’d only enter the Chester Grosvenor if he ever proposed. On 2 October 2024, Luke surprised her with a date there, a heartfelt letter, and a suite decorated with candles, rose petals, and glowing “Marry Me” letters. Charlotte, of course, said yes.

Their wedding day was 20th September 2025 and despite the rain pouring down, everyone had the best time! Charlotte and Luke's day began with their wedding ceremony at All Saints Church, Thornton Hough, followed by The Old Palace Chester for the reception. Situated on the banks of the River Dee, this Georgian manor built in 1751 added history and charm to the day. We took advantage of the incredible bridal suite to get those iconic Old Palace wedding photo and video shots! Before long, speeches were given by Geoff, Luke, Jane and Alex, after which Charlotte and Luke's guests were entertained by the 'fair ground' attractions that they had arranged. As the evening progressed, the newly married couple partied with their friends and family into the night.

Rain or not, laughs were shared, glasses were raised, and everyone agreed it was a brilliant day from start to finish and we loved being part of it! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Goldsmith.
