Fiona and Steve met on a dating site called Oasis! Fiona lived in Chester at the time, but was so embarrassed to be on a dating site, she changed her location to Congleton so nobody she knew from Chester would see her on there!

It's a good job she did change the location, otherwise she would never have met Steve, as he lived in Kidsgrove. They started chatting on the site, got on really well and went out to Chester for their first date. They were having such a good time that Steve missed the last train home, so had to call his parents to come and pick him up! So Fiona got to meet her future in-laws on her very first date with Steve!

Fiona loves how caring and kind Steve is. She tells me that he's a genuine person, never puts on any heirs and graces with people, and what you see is what you get. Fiona tells me how supportive Steve was for both her and her mum, who was very ill towards the end of her life, helping Fiona look after and care for her. 

Steve tells me that Fiona has a heart of pure gold and that she is very loving and caring. He says that she puts everything and everyone before herself and that he loves her with all his heart. He said that the he knew he loved her from the moment he set eyes on her and that he'd been waiting to meet her for his whole life!

Their wedding day was on 22nd October 2022. Our day started with Fiona and her bridal party at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, where the bridal preps were under way. Once hair and make up was done and Fiona was in her stunning wedding dress, it was time for George, her very proud dad to come and escort her to the waiting VW camper van that was going to chauffeur her to Tabley Hill Chapel where Steve and his best man and son, Connor where eagerly awaiting with all their guests.

The wedding ceremony was superbly conducted by Andrew from Your Ceremony. Vows and rings were exchanged and Fiona and Steve had their first kiss as a married couple. 

 

After the service, we stopped off at Denzel Gardens for photos in their stunning grounds. Once we'd got some amazing photos, Fiona and Steve hopped back into the VW Camper ready for their grand arrival at The Bowden Rooms, their wedding reception venue. I have to say that the attentiveness of the staff at the venue was second to none! Exceptional service for not only the couple and their guests but also us too! During the afternoon, the kids were entertained by The Amazing Stephen before it was time for Fiona and Steve to cut their incredible wedding cake that Fiona made herself!! Then straight on to the dance floor for their first dance. The Wee Bag band, a Ceilidh band who provided the music and entertainment for the evening, got all the guests on their feet and dancing the night away!
